Breakfast By The Sea - John 21:1-14
Jesus has now appeared to the disciples on two separate occasions. Here in John 21, we have recorded the third time He appears to them. Peter and the other disciples are still confused and not sure what to do, so Peter get the great idea to go back to fishing. After being out all night catching nothing, Jesus comes to them and everything changes. It is often easy for us when trials in life come, and things do not make sense to us, to desire to turn back to the things of the world. The things that were familiar to us seem to grow in attraction, but we must remember that we made a choice to follow Christ and not turn back. As we examine the breakfast by the sea, we must realize that we must not turn back to the world, but continue to follow Christ.
