Living As Citizens Of Heaven - Philippians 1:25-30

An ambassador represents the country that he is from. He is a representative and must act accordingly. In II Corinthians 5:20, God calls us ambassadors. We are not citizens of earth, but of heaven. Ephesians 2:4-6 tells us that we are sitting together in heavenly places. We need to recognize that we are just passing through this life, and that Heaven and eternity with Christ await us. We need to allow Him to live through us now. Our life is not our own, but we are bought with a price. Just as an ambassador has guidelines that he must follow, so do we as ambassadors of heaven. Paul exhorts the Philippians in this passage. We must understand that his world is not our home, but we are citizens of Heaven.
